How to apply

Silver Top Taxis prides itself on having a respectful, hard working and good natured fleet of taxi drivers who are provided with Silver Top’s full support and training. To become a Silver Top driver, you are required to be:

  • Registered as a Taxi Driver with the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW;
  • Hold a NSW driver’s license;
  • Hold a Taxi Driver Authority from Transport NSW;
  • Complete Silver Top training course; and
  • Have a strong commitment towards customer satisfaction.

Silver Top Taxis training course

Silver Top Taxis is one of the most respected taxi fleets in Australia. Our dedication to delivering high quality training is a large part of our valued reputation.

With accreditations from both the NSW Transport Authority and NSW Taxi Council Ltd, we have access to a wealth of knowledge to help you get ahead in the taxi driving business.

To attend Driver Training it is as simple as:

  • Be registered as a Taxi Driver with the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW;
  • Be present at 8:15am at 33 Woodville Road, Granville (above the service station) on any Tuesday or Thursday morning (excluding public holidays);
  • Ensure you bring with you your:
  • Be ready to learn!

Driver Safety and Security

Keeping drivers safe

Silver Top drivers are safe drivers, and their security and safety is as important as the passengers. In our training course you will learn practical techniques to avoid conflict situations and stay safe. We will also brief you on the safety and security features present in your taxi and how to use them.

You can also call the radio supervisor at any time when logged into a Silver Top taxi via the MTData dispatch terminal to discuss safety issues or concerns.
